Lady Gaga Wears Drag for New Cover

Lady Gaga takes the cake when it comes to musical alter egos. To follow the footsteps of James Franco and Marc Jacobs, Lady Gaga’s cover for her new single, “You And I,” features the songstress dressed in drag.

The new single cover has just been released, and it features “Jo Calderone,” Gaga’s male character. Posing in sideburns and angrily puffing a cigarette, the outrageous pop star looks totally different… even for her.

It’s reported that the famed New Yorker posted the images on her Twitter, saying, “You will never find what you are looking for in love, if you don’t love yourself.”

Those who follow fashion may recognize Jo Calderone, a fictional Italian car mechanic, from photos taken by photographer Nick Knight in London last June. Gaga, 25, also dressed up as a man for the September 2010 issue of Vogue Hommes Japan.

The singer has promised to drop the much-anticipated video for “Yoü and I” in her 1000th Tweet.
